ATS Formula 3 Cup
Kirchhöfer, Bryant-Meisner and Bernstorff win at Spa-Francorchamps

A trio of drivers shared the three race wins on offer at one of the highlights of the ATS Formula 3 Cup season at Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium). Right from the first race, the series’ only excursion outside of Germany was packed with exciting wheel-to-wheel duels. Marvin Kirchhöfer (D) came home ahead of John Bryant-Meisner (GB). Emil Bernstorff (GB) was fourth behind Gustavo Menezes (USA). Races two and three were also dominated by the top drivers from the opening race. With the track dry in some spots and damp in others, tyre selection was a major issue in the second race, which eventually went to Bryant-Meisner. Bernstorff clinched victory number three on Sunday. The AT3 Formula 3 Cup uses a standard Volkswagen engine – the 250-hp “Volkswagen Power Engine”.

ADAC Formula Masters
Ardennes weather and hard-fought victories – Picariello bags a brace, while Kremer also gets in on the act

Two wins at Spa-Francorchamps – Alessio Picariello (B) picked up valuable points in the race for the championship in the ADAC Formula Masters. In difficult weather conditions and rain typical of the Ardennes, Picariello took full advantage of his home advantage to claim two wins in the entry-level series for single-seater racing cars. Although he was forced to retire in the third and final race, the Belgian continues to top the table after six of 24 races. In the first race, second place went to Jason Kremer (D), while Nicolas Beer (DK) finished runner-up in race two. Maximilian Günther (D) came home third twice. In Sunday afternoon’s final race, Jason Kremer crossed the finish line first, ahead of Mikkel Jensen (DK) and Ralph Boschung (CH).
